Which 2018 macbook for ableton live Thinking of picking up a MacBook to have my own creative space. I want the 13 inch for the portability but I'm not sure if the i5 quad core 8th gen will be enough to run Ableton live for 2-3 years.

The late 2013 Macbook Pro - I5 2.4 Ghz ( turbo Boost 2.9Ghz )
With 4 GB of RAM
The 2014 ( current model ) Macbook Air-I5 1.4 Ghz ( Turbo Boost 2.7 Ghz )
With 8 GB of Ram
Both with 128 SSD HD

Yes it works very well on my MacBook Air 11' 2011 model with 4 gig ram 1,8 gHz i7. I use Ableton Suite 8 and never had any problems. If you use a lot of instruments and external plugins you might want to close some apps as you only have 4 gb of ram on the MacBook Air. At home i use the MacBook Air in clamshell mode conected to the Apple Thunderbolt Display in it works like a charm although the fans turn on. This does not happen when i work with Logic Pro 9. The fans do not turn on. I guess its the programming of the DAW's. Hope this helps.
